Challenges
Problems solved with G-Connector
About Why Minded
Why Minded is a Salesforce consulting firm that helps businesses get more value from their Salesforce investment. Their work includes solving process inefficiencies, enabling data transparency, and scaling smarter operations with automation.
The Challenge: Manual Reporting and Limited Visibility
The VP of Marketing at one of Why Minded’s client organizations had a recurring challenge:
Every week, she manually collected Salesforce data from multiple dashboards to prepare for Friday pipeline summary meetings.
- There was no single report that met her needs—she had to scan, filter, and consolidate data from various places.
- Other teams (Customer Success, Finance) needed access to the same data, but didn’t have Salesforce licenses, and login sharing was blocked by 2FA protocols.
- The result: hours of wasted time, poor data visibility, and frustration across teams.
We couldn’t simply export one report—so the process was repetitive, manual, and unscalable.- Duncan Sigurdsson
The Solution: G-Connector + Automated Multi-Report Sync
Duncan Sigurdsson, Salesforce Admin at Why Minded, used G-Connector to automate the entire workflow:
- Salesforce reports are now pulled automatically into separate tabs of a Google Sheet via scheduled refresh.
- A Master Sheet aggregates key insights using standard formulas, and updates in real time.
- The shared sheet provides live data visibility across departments—no Salesforce logins or extra licenses needed.
- The setup removed the need for report subscriptions, CSV exports, or login sharing.

Now, the data is always up to date, centralized, and accessible to every department that needs it
How automations work in G-Connector
With G-Connector, data can be pulled from Salesforce into a Google Sheet, scheduled to be refreshed offline and shared with anyone from your team. Users you share your spreadsheet with don’t need access to G-Connector to see the data.
To export the data to your spreadsheet, G-Connector will let you pull an existing Salesforce Report or use a SOQL query in a dynamic query builder.
G-Connector offers multiple refresh modes (overwrite, append, or create a new sheet) and flexible data placement for data pulls. This versatility combined with spreadsheet tools like formulas, sorting, conditional formatting, and pivot tables is crucial to be able to view and work with data.
In G-Connector users can create the schedule from the ‘Scheduler’ tab, defining the frequency (You have an option to schedule data operations for one time, hourly, daily, or weekly) and finally execute the operation with a simple click.
To enhance further collaboration, G-Connector also supports scheduled team notifications or alerts after a data refresh or after data has reached a predefined threshold. These notifications can be sent via email, Slack or Chatter and help all team members stay in the loop with the latest data updates.
