Important changes to how XL-Connector uploads percent values

XL-Connector now uses the Excel cell’s formatting to determine how percent values should be uploaded to Salesforce. This change makes percent handling more predictable and, importantly, allows values below 1% to be uploaded correctly.

Previously, XL-Connector automatically multiplied values below 1 by 100, which could cause unintended results—for example, 0.5% could be uploaded as 50%. Now, cells formatted as Percent are converted accordingly, while values in cells that aren’t formatted as Percent are uploaded as-is.

What does this mean for you?

If you’re uploading percentage values from Excel with XL-Connector, make sure your source cells use the appropriate formatting—or adjust your formula to return the actual percentage value.
